Orvis Battenkill Disc Fly Reel

The Orvis Battenkill Disc Fly Reel combines classic mid-arbor styling with modern drag performance and durable construction. Built from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum, the reel features a sealed Hydros SL disc drag system with six interacting carbon and stainless steel drag surfaces for smooth, dependable resistance. Its ported spool design reduces weight while maintaining the traditional Battenkill look, and the ergonomic Delrin handle provides a comfortable grip during line retrieval. An enlarged drag knob allows easy adjustments, while the curved reel foot helps prevent leader kinks when storing a rig. Easily converted between left- and right-hand retrieve, the Battenkill Disc is a dependable choice for trout and general freshwater fly fishing.
