Hareline Cautery Tool

The Hareline Cautery Tool is a specialized fly-tying tool for cleaning up and shaping materials with controlled heat. Hareline specifically recommends it for removing loose fibers and for burning deer hair or wool to create recessed areas for inlaying eyes. Hareline notes that the heated tip should be allowed to burn through the material before sweeping it through to help prevent the tip from breaking.
